~*Home Improvement*~

So we've FINALLY gotten started on some home improvement projects we've been wanting to get done for a while!! A few weekends ago Andy and his friend Steve built us a deck in the backyard!! It looks great and will be soo nice to have a place to sit outside this summer. The weekend after he built the deck he decided to add some benches on. Now all that's left is for it to be stained which he will be doing this weekend then hopefully we'll get some patio furniture soon! I can't wait to have our first BBQ with the deck. This has also motivated me to get a little bit of yardwork done. Although there is still a TON left to do, the yard is slowly looking better :)

We also re-decorated our bathroom the last couple weeks. I bought a shower curtain a while back but hadn't gotten around to painting the bathroom to match until last week. We bought the paint and Andy and I got it all done in just over an hour. We hung the new shower curtain and I even found some new artwork to match!! Now all that's left to do is buy a new bath mat and finish touching up the white paint on the ceiling and it will be all done!! It's good as new..and MUCH better than the sky blue it was before :)










Now..next on our home improvement list: hardwood floors throughout the living room and hallway and tile in the kitchen. Hopefully it won't take us as long to get started on this project! We figured if we're gonna be stuck in this house for a while, we might as well make it what we want it to be!! :)

While I was surfing the internet regarding infertility information I came across the "Friends and Family" section of the website and thought some of my friends and family may be interested in reading some of the common myths of infertility as well as info on what they can do/say (or not say) to help. Kicking off Summer with lots of fun!!

Well summer is definitely getting started around here. The weather is slowly cooperating and we've been VERY busy...which is what reminds me that it's almost summer!! The last couple weeks have pretty much flown by since we've had plans almost every day/night. I'll just recap a couple of the highlights. Last Thursday I made dinner for my mom, Andy and I, (a delicious honey dijon Salmon with roasted asparagus and brown rice..mmm...) then my mom and I headed up to Seattle to see Grease at the 5th Avenue Theater. We had so much fun and the performance was amazing!! And as an added bonus, Taylor Hicks (past American Idol) starred as "Teen Angel" and I was able to get a CD and his autograph after the show (I'll post pics as soon as I get them from my mom :)) Overall it was a wonderful evening and great to have some quality mother daughter time, we decided we are definitely going to start seeing more shows together!!

Friday I worked all day, then came home to finish the preparations for our Sun Lakes Camping trip!! We got up Saturday morning, packed up the car and headed to Orting to pick up Keren and Steve. We got a bit later of a start then planned but had an entertaining road trip while battling through some of the traffic who also had the idea to soak up some sun on the East side! Once we finally got to the campsite we met up with Katie and Kyle (Andy's sis and brother in law) and got our campground all set up for the weekend.

The weekend was filled with a visit to the Grand Coulee Dam, geo-caching, hiking, sunshine, campfires, bbq, smores, drinking and lots and lots of FUN!!! We had so much fun camping and hope this was a start to many more camping trips to come.
